Sign Up For Our Free Monthly Reminders!

If you do one “thing” each month it helps reduce the stress of having to prepare all at one time. Taking small steps towards preparedness helps you and your community prepare for the unexpected. It’s as easy as this:

  • Provide your email address (don’t worry we’ll never sell it)
  • Receive a monthly reminder to help you stay on track
  • And of course, do one thing!

Getting Started is Easy

Being prepared for disasters and emergencies can seem like a big job. Many people don’t know where to start, so they never start at all. With Do1Thing you can take small steps that make a big difference in an emergency. Do1Thing is a 12-month program that makes it easy for you to prepare yourself, your family, and your community for emergencies or disasters.

January

Make a Plan

GOAL FOR JANUARY: Disasters. Change. Things. Understand what puts you or your family/community at risk from disasters and take steps to lower your risk.

When an emergency happens, you may have to decide what to do very quickly, while worrying about what might happen. By planning ahead, it will be easier to make the right decision(s) when the worst happens.

Preparedness Ambassador Course

You can become a Do1Thing Preparedness Ambassador by taking our FREE online course today. This course will give you an overview of the program, general preparedness, and explain how you can share Do1Thing in your own community. Ambassadors help our program grow while helping your community become disaster resilient. When more people are prepared, the better we become at responding to and recovering from disasters.
